Project partner, UNITAR-SCYCLE, is organising a foundational training on the Digital Product Passports (DPP) for a Circular Economy.
A DPP is a digital ID card for a product, capturing essential information across its entire lifecycle from the materials it’s made of and where it comes from, to its environmental footprint and end-of-life options such as repair, reuse, or recycling.
Why Attend
As DPPs become increasingly important within EU policies and everyday products, and are set to become mandatory across key product categories, this introductory session designed for non-experts will:
- Provide a clear and practical overview of DPP as a key tool of the EU’s transition towards a circular economy.
- Help participants better navigate upcoming changes and position themselves and their organisation in a rapidly evolving policy and market landscape.
- Enable participants to take more informed and sustainable choices and to engage with circular practices and waste reduction.
- Offer opportunities to exchange with peers from international organisations and academia.
No prior knowledge of DPP is required. The session is designed to be practical, accessible, and directly relevant to real-world contexts, using examples, short exercises and interactive discussion.

Who Should Attend
This training is designed for organisation representatives and students who have an interest in sustainability and the circular economy. No prior knowledge of DPPs needed.
The training event will take place at the UN campus in-person. Seats are limited, register as soon as possible to secure your spot!
